In conclusion: Star Trek.

Saw it with friends opening weekend. Watched it with my gf last night. Watching it with my bff this weekend. As you can tell, I enjoyed the movie. ( spoilers )

My parents were both avid viewers of Star Trek when I was younger, and my dad is like the biggest geek I've ever met. Except for my mom who is so freaking precious with her love of fantasy and horror that I can't stand it. These are my parents and I love them. They instill in me a love of the fantastical and surreal and uncharted. I'm not quite the big SFF fan that they are, but I have fond memories attached to the genre, so I will always consider myself a fan.

And I'm definitely not alone. This is my voice.

Neurotic/Kinky is fucked up.

And it's my fuck up, I'm totally owning it. For months the archive has been hit with a massive wave of spam, and because I am the worse mod ever, I never knew about it because I never bothered to check. As a result, the server was overloaded, which caused hours of downtime for my gracious host. I've apologized to her repeatedly but I still feel really bad about this.

Worse - I had to reinstall eFiction. I backed up the stories and database but something went wrong and, well, it doesn't look good. There's a possibility that I may have to re-upload all the stories. That means all the reviews are gone. I'm working with my host on how to restore the databases so that at the very least I can get the authors, stories and categories back up.

Again, this is my bad, and I'm sorry.
